And you’re correct, when writing a script I plan on releasing publicly; it’s never for ‘script baiting’, it’s for the purpose of providing something useful to other people. The only reason I provide a link is to:

1.) Help spread the word of the software/script to even more people.
2.) Just a simple ‘Copyright’ type thing.

I think your script is very useful and I’m sure you made it with good faith and I think it rocks, that’s why I posted here, and because I’m domainer and I talk about all around domains at my blog (also a little bit of SEO).

But this week I talked about “script link baiting” and that’s why I said was a example of “script link baiting”, like WordPress and PHPbb, but wasn’t my sole purpose, sure your script is very useful to my readers.

Sure Matt Mullenwag wasn’t thinking on “script link baiting” when he decided to develop WordPress, and same with you.

However I think is great to make a useful script and give it for free, and the owner receive some thanks as links.

That is/was not my purpose. The script is free, and licensed under the GPL. It was originally created for my friends, but I released it publicly to help others.

However, if that was not your reasoning: thanks for posting. I’m glad people are getting the word out about my script.

Ese is/was no mi propósito. La escritura está libre, y licenciado bajo GPL. Fue creada originalmente para mis amigos, pero la lancé público a la ayuda otras.

Sin embargo, si ése no era tu razonamiento: agradece por fijar. Soy gente alegre estoy consiguiendo la palabra hacia fuera sobre mi escritura.
